Artist Statement
The emotional tone contrasts grief and joy, captured through a palette of deep blue, muted purple, vibrant yellow, and warm orange. The arrangement reflects a tension between the solidity of grief, represented by dark hues on the edges, and the bright, joyful sparks in the center. Broken pixels introduce an imperfect symmetry, capturing the chaos of emotions and the fragility of balance. The zigzag pattern reflects the rising and falling waves of emotional turbulence, leaving negative space to emphasize pauses in emotion.
