Artist Statement
This composition conveys the emotional tension between longing and resolve. The colors selected from the 'joy_grief' palette reflect the warmth of longing with yellow and orange, contrasted against the depth of resolve through deep blue and muted purple. The main collision occurs centrally with the overlap of broken dots and rings, representing the fragility and strength inherent in emotional processing. The layout of mirrored broken pixels highlights the struggle between two opposing forces, while leaving intentional gaps gives a sense of space and unresolved motion.
