Artist Statement
The emotional tone starkly contrasts between loneliness and connection, embodied in the choice of muted sepia and tan colors that evoke warmth alongside the faint, cool hints of faded blue. Each color placement reflects a struggle between open spaces and clustered areas, with the tear shape at the center symbolizing both vulnerability and the potential for connection. The top-weighted layout draws the eye upward, amplifying the sense of disconnect from the foundational ground level while hidden clusters suggest emotion just out of reach, mirroring the complexities of social interactions.
