Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional dichotomy of panic versus control through the interplay of colors and their arrangement. The palette primarily consists of red and black, representing intense emotion and underlying tension, contrasted with cooler tones of pale blue and white to suggest calmness and clarity. The dominant use of deep blacks around the edges symbolizes control, while the erratic placements of red and pale blue within the central area express the chaos and unpredictability of panic. Collisions occur where these colors interact, creating a visual rhythm that pulls the viewer's attention towards the center—highlighting moments of disruption amid an otherwise stable frame. The non-linear placement of warmer tones against the cooler ones provides a sense of unbalanced stability, mirroring the innate struggle between these opposing feelings as noted in the seed.
