Artist Statement
This artwork reflects the emotional tension between softness and severity, using a color palette that contrasts warm whites and powder pinks with deep blacks and sharp crimson. The soft colors represent the gentle, understated emotions, while the more severe colors convey a commanding presence. The central collision occurs towards the middle, where the lighter hues ripple outward against the dense darkness, creating a feeling of pressure and release—an echo of conflicting feelings. The abstract pattern emerges from the seed's themes, illustrating a pulse of emotion where perfection collides with imperfection, marked by broken pixels that bring intentional disruptions to the grid pattern, emphasizing the theme of guilt and forgiveness.
