Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the tension between vulnerability and strength through a dynamic center-pulse layout. The chosen palette, 'relief_dread,' features soft mint and sky colors representing vulnerability, contrasted sharply with storm gray and near black tones that signify strength. The main collision occurs centrally, where these conflicting emotions engage, echoing the rise of shelter (soft colors) against exposure (darker hues). Broken pixels disrupt structured areas, reflecting the fragility within strength, while quieter fields of faded gold provide moments of respite amidst the chaos. This balance of color and emotional weight showcases an unresolved tension, allowing for both comfort and disturbance to coexist.
