Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the tension between strength and vulnerability, utilizing a palette of sepia, tan, dust gray, and faded blue to evoke a faded memory. The dominant sepia represents strength with firm blocks, while the softer, shimmering blues suggest vulnerability, reminiscent of echoes. The sharp edges contrast with softer transitions, creating moments of interruption, particularly at the center where the collision of strength and vulnerability occurs. The layout adheres to a mirrored structure but includes intentional breaks to illustrate imperfection, mirroring the emotional interplay within the seed.
