Artist Statement
The emotional tone captures a dynamic interplay between relief and dread. The chosen palette of pale mint, soft sky, storm gray, near black, and faded gold embodies the transition from an oppressive weight to a gentle release, reflecting how dense clusters of dark shades collide with softer, lighter colors. The main contrast occurs where heavier dark shades bind tight at the bottom left, simulating pressure, while the top right loosens into airy, lighter hues, indicating relief. The layout emphasizes an island of chaos surrounded by a calm sea, resonating with the tension suggested by the seed. Broken pixels are strategically placed to represent moments of disruption, adding to the narrative of imperfection and complexity within the emotional landscape.
