Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects a stark contrast between fear and hope—black and dark violet embody fear's jagged edges while soft gold and pale green symbolize hope's upward flow. The palette creates a tight tension where jagged corners evoke anxiety, contrasting with a single bright pixel at the center, suggesting a glimmer of hope. The arrangement across the grid, with contrasting patterns of crosshatch and rain, heightens the sense of collision between emotions, where darker hues aggressively provoke softer notes, enforcing a disturbance in the expected calm. This portrays the dualities within the human experience, embracing both despair and illumination!
