Artist Statement
This composition explores the duality of loneliness and connection through color and placement. The left side is dominated by cooler, muted tones (#8B888B, #B0C4DE, #BEBEBE) representing isolation and emotional distance, while the right side bursts with richer, warmer colors (#D3C441, #DAA520, #FFD700), symbolizing the vibrance of connection. The center features a stark contrast with the deep black (#000000) acting as an anchor between the two emotional states, while the crosshatch pattern of lighter colors spills towards the edges, suggesting tension and the struggle between hidden emotions and exposed truths. The overall feeling is a resonant echo of connection amidst a backdrop of loneliness, with the negative space utilized to emphasize this emotional dichotomy.
