Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional contrast of fear and hope through a split vertical arrangement, balancing dark and light elements. The black and dark violet evoke fear, using jagged edges to suggest tension, while soft gold and pale green represent hope's uplifting qualities with curved forms. The palette transitions from the weight of darkness at the bottom to the lightness of glow at the top, creating a visual flow that moves from pressure to release.
