Artist Statement
This piece captures the emotional dichotomy of relief and dread through a palette of muted darkness contrasted by sparks of brightness. The soft mint and faded gold represent moments of relief, interspersed within heavy storm grays and near blacks embodying dread. The design utilizes a falling pixel layout, emphasizing a downward flow to suggest inevitable descent, with clusters of brighter colors emerging sporadically to create a sensation of hope amid the weight. The broken lines in the arrangement echo the idea of imperfection and unpredictability stemming from the chaos that the seed suggests.
