Artist Statement
The emotional tone revolves around the tension between desire and restraint. The palette of hot coral, blood orange, dust pink, charcoal, and hollow blue reflects a saturated emotional pull contrasting with a cool, muted boundary of charcoal. The main contrast occurs along the diagonal axis, where the brighter colors collide with the darker, restrained spaces. The split-screen pattern evokes gatherings of energy that are interrupted by sealed edges, imbuing a sense of yearning restrained by external barriers.
