Artist Statement
This composition explores the emotional tension between longing and resolve, represented through a palette that evokes warmth and depth. The gradient of pinks and dark maroon symbolizes yearning, while contrast against gray denotes strength and resolve. The broken pixels introduce an element of imperfection, enhancing the sense of repair vs. damage, with a prominent diagonal divide between dense clusters of colors on one side and quieter fields on the other. The vertical stack pattern reflects stability, while the maze pattern introduces an element of complexity, thus embodying the push and pull of these emotions.
