Artist Statement
The emotional tone captures the contrast between a warm, saturated desire and a distant emptiness. The palette of hot coral and blood orange provides a vibrant contrast against the low saturation of hollow blue and charcoal, echoing the themes of longing versus restraint. The pattern is a collision of scar-like sections representing desire breaking through a flame-like emptiness. The main collision occurs in the center, where vibrant colors abruptly meet muted tones, illustrating the struggle between expansion and containment. The falling pixel layout adds to the sense of weight and pressure, while intentional broken pixels provide imperfections, emphasizing the quiet chaos of the emotional theme.
