Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional duality between defiance and submission through a dynamic array of colors. The palette balances electric blue and magenta with deep black to create an atmosphere ripe with tension. The collision occurs at the center, where the bright accents of defiance – electric blue and magenta – push against an enclosing field of black, symbolizing submission. The patterns of 'islands' and 'stepwell' intermingle, creating layers of pressure with broken pixels introducing intentional disruptions, further amplifying the emotional narrative.
