Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects a struggle between defiance and submission, showcasing angular resistance alongside an enclosed field. The palette, comprising stain brown and deep wine, adds depth, symbolizing the weight of tension. The contrast is marked by sharp, jagged placements of dark colors against softer golden hues representing softness and submission—the secretive walls of a keyhole awakening a sense of hidden desires. The primary collision emerges in the center, where dark and light colors overlap, symbolizing the ongoing conflict between assertion and yielding.
