Artist Statement
This artwork explores the emotional tension between restlessness and peace through an interplay of bold and subdued colors. The chosen palette of deep blacks and dark violets evokes a sense of grounding, while soft gold and pale green accents introduce whispers of tranquility. The top half (restlessness) is composed with sharp contrasts and dynamic patterns that evoke motion and urgency, representing a split-screen feel. Conversely, the lower half (peace) offers a braided pattern that suggests serenity and cohesion. The central collision, where the two halves meet, creates an engaging tension that reflects the seed's themes of memory and motion, suggesting the perpetual struggle between chaos and calm.
