Artist Statement
This composition reflects the emotional tug-of-war between defiance and submission. The palette of pale aqua, mist gray, alarm red, ink blue, and clear white establishes a serene urgency alongside sharp contrasts. The main collision occurs at the center of the grid, where chaotic 'teeth' patterns of alarm red intrude upon the softer radial gradients of pale aqua, creating a dynamic tension that suggests an argument or struggle. The use of broken pixels symbolizes fractures in the emotional flow, embodying the glitches and interruptions inherent in this conflict. The layout is designed to exude a rhythmic pulse, with the edge crawl leading to a thickening center that echoes the heartbeat of struggle and resolution.
