Artist Statement
This composition explores the emotional interplay of fear and hope through contrasting color placement and density. The upper half employs darker tones to symbolize fear, featuring jagged and broken patterns that evoke a sense of compression and discomfort. The lower half introduces lighter, brighter hues that flow in sharp stripes, expressing hope and resilience. The palette of blacks, dark violets, soft gold, and pale green reflects these emotions, where the dense top collides with the airy bottom, creating a visual tension that resonates with the seed's narrative of conflict and resolution. The arrangement captures a moment of uncertainty, highlighting the coexistence of fear and hope, ultimately suggesting movement toward light.
