Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional dichotomy of awe and terror through a carefully selected palette reminiscent of faded memories. The contrast between dark and light tones creates a dynamic interplay, evoking a sense of pressure and unresolved tension; awe represented by soft sepia tones and faded blue invites calm, while terrors flickering at the edges express instability. The 'broken pixels' technique introduces deliberate imperfections, symbolizing fragmented recollections of emotion. The layout flows from top to bottom, mirroring tears or rain, reinforcing the central idea of unease enveloping the core. Locations of greater density hint at chaotic moments, while lighter, more negative spaces provide a breath of clarity amidst turbulence.
