Artist Statement
This composition conveys the emotional tension between desire and restraint through saturated and muted colors. The warm reds and pinks represent desire's pulse, while the cool grey and blue edges symbolize the barriers of restraint. The major collision occurs at the center where the lattice-like patterns of hot coral and blood orange wrestle with rain-like muted fields. This reflects the struggle between expansive longing and held back borders, crafting an abstract narrative of tension and release.
