Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the duality of vulnerability and strength. The pale accents (yellow and muted purple) represent the fragile yet radiant core of emotional exposure, contrasting against the dense and dark hues of deep blue and muted shadows that signify strength. The placement of these colors creates a battle where lighter tones risk being overwhelmed, establishing a dynamic tension throughout. The collision is predominantly in the center, where the brightness is most concentrated, symbolizing the fight between fortification and exposure while leaving intentional negative space as a refuge, echoing themes of safety and risk.
