Artist Statement
The composition conveys the emotional contrast between defiance and submission through a dynamic use of color and shape. The palette, inspired by desire and emptiness, features vivid hues of hot coral and blood orange to represent defiance, clashing against the subdued tones of dust pink and charcoal for submission. The arrangement deliberately creates a collision at the center, where defiant colors intersect with muted fields, reflecting tension and unresolved motion. The broken pixels punctuate the edges, symbolizing scars of conflict and an incomplete path towards resolution.
