Artist Statement
This piece represents the tension between loneliness and connection, utilizing a color palette of deep blacks, whites, and pale blues to evoke emotions of isolation and potential warmth. The primary contrast is created between the dense left side and the empty right, suggesting a struggle with weight. The pattern intersects with stripes and a crosshatch to symbolize the collision and oscillation between connection and detachment. It embodies brokenness through the use of a few broken pixels, indicating imperfections in memory and emotional transitions.
